Blow-Drying Guide: Heat, Cool Air & Why 100% Drying Matters
Moisture around the attachment points can weaken the bonds and may contribute to slippage or shedding. Prolonged moisture can also create an environment for bacteria and unpleasant odors to develop.
1. Press, Don’t Rub
Never rub or scrub the hair. Gently blot and absorb excess water with a microfiber towel.
2. Dry the Attachment Points Completely
Use medium heat and hold the blow dryer approximately 6 inches (15 cm) away. Make sure the attachment points are completely dry before finishing.
3. Finish with Cool Air
Once the hair is about 80% dry, switch to cool air and blow-dry from top to bottom to smooth the hair cuticle and leave the hair looking sleek.
