The Right Time to Brush Wet Hair
Never brush your hair immediately after washing while it is soaking wet.
When hair is wet, the cuticle is more raised and the strands are more prone to stretching and breakage due to increased friction and reduced strength.
Follow these steps instead:
1. Blot, Don’t Rub
Gently blot excess water with a microfiber towel. Never rub or twist the hair.
2. Apply Leave-In Conditioner
Spray a leave-in conditioner evenly through the hair to improve slip and reduce friction.
3. Wait Until 90% Dry
Allow the hair to air-dry or blow-dry until it is about 90% dry. Then, starting at the ends, gently work your way upward with a wide-tooth comb or extension-friendly brush.
