Do:
- Detangle Before You Clip: Gently brush your natural hair and your GOO GOO Elf Curly Clip-Ins before installing. This ensures a smooth, secure fit and prevents tangling.
- Section Smartly: Take your time to section your hair evenly. Proper placement creates a flawless, natural blend.
- Wash Occasionally: Clean your clip-ins every 15-20 wears or as needed to remove buildup. Use lukewarm water and a sulfate-free shampoo to keep your curls hydrated and soft. Rinse thoroughly.
- Condition & Moisturize: Apply a moisturizing or curl-specific conditioner from mid-length to ends. Leave on 5-10 minutes, rinse with cool water, and use a leave-in conditioner to maintain softness and bounce. Deep condition when needed to restore moisture.
- Air Dry When Possible: Gently squeeze out water with a microfiber towel or cotton T-shirt—no rubbing! Lay flat or hang to dry. If you must use heat, attach a diffuser, set to low, and let curls fully dry before wearing.
- Refresh & Style: Slightly dampen your clip-ins before applying curl styling products. This helps revive the curls.Scrunch the hair upwards after applying curl products to enhance curl formation.Twist some of your natural hair together with the extensions to help them wrap around each other.
- Protect Before Heat Styling: Always apply a heat protectant before using hot tools. Limit heat styling to maintain curl integrity.
Don't:
- Sleep in Them: Wearing clip-ins overnight can cause tangling, matting, and breakage. Remove before bed.
- Overload the Clips: Too much hair in one section causes slipping and discomfort. Go light for a secure, natural look.
- Use Harsh Products: Avoid sulfates, alcohol-based formulas, or heavy oils—they can dry out curls and cause breakage.
- Use Flat Iron: For Elf Curly, we do not recommend flat ironing, as it damages the curl pattern and reduces bounce.

The ONLY reason I gave four stars and not five is I feel they could be a little fuller BUT for the price they are fantastic. ZERO matting or tangling. SOFT, fluffy curls.

These are more wavy than curly. When I washed them with cold water the dye rinsed out and I feel like the curl did too. They are less wavier than then when I recieved them. I wish GooGoo offered curlier extensions because these are extremely soft and the color matches my highlights and lowlights perfectly. My daughter has had hers (straight style) for 6 months and she wears them A LOT and they have held up really well!! Great product for the price, just need different curly options PLEASE!!! Might purchase some straight ones and try giving them a perm. 5 star for straight ones!!!
They are advertised as curly, but their texture is more wavy. I have multiple textures in my hair so I’m still able to style my hair in a way this pattern works for me. The hair is also drier than I have had from other curly hair extensions. I am going to do a treatment in them and hopefully that helps. The colour is exactly as I thought it would be and overall I do like them enough to keep wearing them. If the hair treatment works, I will probably repurchase in the future because the price is good and the colour options are too
