The Dos and Don'ts of Tape-In Maintenance & Aftercare
Do:
Schedule move-up appointments every 4-6 weeks to avoid added weight and tension from your grown-out hair.
Use GOO GOO Replacement, Easy-Release, or Single Sided Tape for all maintenance care installation to ensure the best results.
For smooth and easy removals, fully saturate each Tape-In bond weft with GOO GOO Remover and wait five seconds before gently removing the extension from the natural hair.
Remove the weft in a downward motion toward the natural hair to avoid unnecessary tension on the hair, which can cause damage.
Don't:
Wash your hair after a fresh install. We recommend you wait 72 hours to allow the Tape-In bonds to fully adhere to the natural hair set properly.
Pull or tug the weft out of the natural hair. If you are having trouble with removal, we recommend spraying more remover as needed.
Remove the weft by pulling from left to right. You want to remove each weft by pulling downward toward the natural hair for a swift and easy removal.

Perfect. Easy to style. Takes heat better than my real hair. Washes easily in the shower. Tapes are the strongest I’ve ever had and I’ve had expensive salon Tape-Ins! So affordable and so many discounts. I have reordered more of them already!

Love this hair!
This matched my hair perfectly. Hair is soft & easy to manage. I do recommend investing in quality hair care like a leave in conditioner, good shampoo & conditioner. I left mine in for 6 weeks before removing and reapplying. The reapply was kind of annoying and was time consuming but probably user error. I’m sure I’ll get faster at it & learn hacks over time. Still less time consuming and. Healer than going to the hair salon! I also had no unusual hair loss after removal. Just made sure to use a glue dissolver

Good quality remy hair
I’ve been searching for real hair that won’t mat. It’s so silky and the color match was perfect. I was using bellami and zala tape ins and they were awful after a few wears.

WILL TAPE-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS DAMAGE MY HAIR?
Not at all—if they're applied and cared for properly!
Tape-ins are a gentle method that doesn’t require any heat, tools, or harsh chemicals. As long as they're installed by a professional and you follow the right aftercare, they won’t damage your natural hair.Just treat them with care, and your own hair will stay healthy and happy underneath!
CAN I INSTALL TAPE-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS MYSELF?
Yes, you can totally do it yourself—with a little patience and the right tools!
Tape-ins are one of the easiest semi-permanent extensions to install at home. Here's what you'll need: – A tail comb for clean sectioning – A mirror (or two!) – Steady hands – A friend to help with the back (optional but super helpful!)
Make sure your hair is clean, dry, and free of oils before you start. Line up the tapes close to the root, sandwiching a thin section of hair in between.Want a full step-by-step guide? We've got you covered—just reach out or check our blog! How to Put in Tape in Hair Extensions at Home
HOW LONG WILL MY GOO GOO TAPE-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS LAST?
Goo Goo Tape-Ins are made with premium Remy human hair, so they’re built to last! With proper care, you’ll need to re-tape them every 6–8 weeks, and the hair itself can last around 3 to 12 months depending on how often you wear them and how well you care for them.
HOW TO REMOVE MY TAPE-IN HAIR EXTENSIONS?
Grab your remover — we recommend our GOO GOO Tape-In Remover for an easy and safe removal process.
Spray it generously along the tape—make sure it’s nice and wet so the glue starts to loosen.
Give it a few minutes to work.
Gently peel off the extensions. If they don’t come off easily, spray more remover and wait a bit longer.
Apply a bit of hair oil or serum on any leftover sticky spots to help dissolve the residue.
Rub gently until it’s gone, then wash your hair as usual.
